Daisy
Daisy was rescued in July 2022, after collapsing in a churchyard in Moselle. We worked with the sheriff's department and WDAM news to try to find who allowed her to get into the condition she was in, but despite all our efforts, no leads were found. At best guess, Daisy is in her mid to late 20's. Her malnourished state left her with a significant heart murmur and some kidney and liver issues. They aren't severe enough to warrant putting her down, but they will shorten her time with us. She is like a candied jalapeño, she is sweet but oh so spicy! She rules the rescue with an iron hoof and is often referred to as the Queen. She can be incredibly rude and demanding, but she looks at you with her big brown eyes and all is forgiven. She is deserving of the best we can offer.
We have put together a few wish lists for Christmas. The lists have a variety of items that will be useful to making Daisy happy, healthy, and comfortable. She (and we!) would greatly appreciate any item or items you wish to donate. Items from tractor supply can be ordered online for pickup at the Hattiesburg store under the name Miranda Swilley. Or, if you wish to bring them directly, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. If you prefer to use Chewy, it isn't as personalized because they don't allow us to make individual wish lists, but if you want to get her some food Daisy eats the red bag of Tribute high fat. She also goes through a lot of senior weight accelerator or cool calories.
God Bless and Merry Christmas!!
